Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

The short version

blurtool.ai processes everything in your browser. We do not:

  • Upload your images to any server
  • Store, view, or analyze your files
  • Transmit any media data over the network
  • Sell or share your content or personal data

How blurtool.ai works

All AI models (face detection, OCR for PII, segmentation) run entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and the Web Worker API. When you open an image in blurtool.ai, it is loaded into browser memory only — it is never sent to our servers or any third party. When you close the tab, the image is gone.

What we collect

Account users (Google Sign-In): When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. This is used to identify your account and sync your saved presets across devices. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Guest users: No personal data is collected. Nothing is stored server-side. Presets are saved to your browser's local storage only.

Email newsletter: If you submit your email via our signup form, we store it solely to send product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Saved presets

For signed-in users, blur presets are synced to our servers so you can access them from any device. Presets contain only blur configuration data (region coordinates, blur strength, etc.) — never any image data or pixel content.

Payments

Payments are processed by a third-party provider (Stripe or Lemon Squeezy). We do not store your credit card details. Your billing information is governed by the payment processor's privacy policy.

Website analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to measure aggregate traffic (page views, referral sources). No personal identifiers are collected. No advertising trackers are used.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@blurtool.ai. We will process requests within 30 days.
